Sassy Scrappers Project Life Layout #1

I am super ... correction... SUPER excited and privileged to be a guest designer over at Sassy Scrappers for the next little while. I'll be using their products to get back to my original roots and create some physical project life pages - daunting and exciting. Apart from the pocket page itself, the font and staples everything you see is from the Sassy Scrappers shop, that's all the papers, elements, alphas... EVERYTHING (you can tell I'm excited can't you) . So without further adieu let me introduce you to page 1 (aka wk 6).

For this layout, I used a 12"x12" project life page, which included 3x4" and 6x4" pockets. The first pocket I decided to keep the photo as is & just add a velum overlay with some chipboard and alpha elements - sticky tape was a key factor in holding the velum in place (and fingers crossed it stays like this... UPDATE... its been 3hrs and everything is STILL in tact). The next 6x4" pocket I found the best, most relevant, hilarious, honest etc... you get the pic... quote about our family. After a super annoyingly misprint on my first attempt (I mean who spells temperatmental like this?...apparently I do), anyhow I finally printed this out on some Maggie Holmes cardstock, added another chipboard sticker, a label and finished it off with a Tim Holtz staple. CANNOT STRESS how ridiculously PERFECT this quote is right about now!!!

This next row, I kept things pretty simple, adding a few chipboard sticker elements, a touch of wood & some journalling. After dropping my youngest off on an outdoor kinder adventure I stopped, admired the sweet sweet sound of being kidless for 3hrs and took a photo of my shoes - totally not weird looking at all.... After seeing the photo I new Ali Edwards Wander freebie would look great stamped over it, almost as great as watching me take photos of my feet... almost.

And that brings us to the last row... It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to do this first pocket, then after looking through my fav saved PL ideas I came across a circle card someone had done and thought RIPPER... that's it! I used a heap of bits and bobs to create this card (everything still from Sassy Scrappers), added some journalling under the triangle velum and also around the 'meh' cardstock. I love how this turned out, once I new my game-plan everything just came together really easily. Then there was one pocket left, I decided to again keep it simple with 2 labels, stamped with a Heidi Swapp stamp and added a little heart cardstock for the final touch.

So there you have it, my first physical project life page in I don't know how long.... eek actually I do and its a tad on the scary side.
